Adventure Silk Road Inc, always working for and as per the requirements of its valued guests, have organized / arranged this tour as per the budgets of the targeted guests. We have the options of chooosing the Deluxe 5-Star Accommodation and / or the Deluxe 4-Star Accomodation for the entire tour. To make it easy and guaranteed departure of the trip as per the schedule, we have arranged that the people taking either of the packages would be traveling together and are accomodate as per the package they have taken. This does help to run the trip whenever there is fewer bookings on either program. This also helps for the people from different walks of life to enjoy the trip as they are always in the group. HOTEL YAK & YETI, KATHMANDU;
Hotel Yak and Yeti Kathmandu in Nepal Hotel Yak and Yeti, is a premier five-star deluxe oasis in the heart of Kathmandu, Nepal. The hotel has total of 270 rooms divided into standard & deluxe categories. A 120-room hotel with 5 star amenities started it's operation in 01st September, 1977. After a successful run of 12 years, the need was felt to enhance the hotel's size and facilities.

Now an extension of 150 deluxe rooms and suites have been built (designed to harmonize with the special features of the Lal Durbar) to supplement the existing accommodation, bringing the total number of rooms available in the hotel to 270 rooms.

Along with the construction of the new (Durbar) wing, a brand new porte-cochere, lobby, a new lobby bar, shopping arcade, an atrium, a second swimming pool and two tennis courts have also been constructed, whilst the Café Restaurant has been extended and upgraded, along with the refurbishment of the existing guest room wing. Following this renovation program is the inclusion of a brand new Club Nirvana Fitness Center complete with state-of-the-art gymnasium and spa. Hotel Yak & Yeti has a comprehensive Business Centre and is the first hotel in Kathmandu offering a much sought after exclusive Executive floor and Club Shangri-La. Facilities on this floor include 24-hour butler service, a private lounge for breakfast and cocktails, a boardroom, and in-room outlets for fax machines and computers, which can be rented.

Directions
Approximately ten minutes drive from Tribhuvan International Airport. On exiting the airport, turn right onto the ring road, right again at Pashupatinath towards Chabahil and take another right at Chabahil roundabout to Boudha.

At the altitude of over 7,000 ft and facing 200 miles of unobstructed views of the Himalayas is The Fort Resort and Retreat. The Fort provides twenty-five resort rooms, four independent retreat cottages, conference hall, sauna, and restaurant with continental, Chinese, Indian, and Nepali food. The property has its own organic vegetable garden which is the largest in Nagarkot. Nagarkot had been a fort since the Lichhive period and had its own tax and immigration regulations. As a matter of fact, the first European, Father Grueber and Dorville, who entered Nepal in 1661 were received here in Nagarkot by King Pratap Malla.


Deluxe Wildlife Resort Accommodation in Royal Chitwan National Park

TIGER TOPS - Tiger Mountain Tharu Lodge;
Just 13 kilometres downriver from Tiger Tops Jungle Lodge on the edge of Royal Chitwan National Park, Tiger Mountain Tharu Lodge is a resort in a tranquil garden setting overlooking lush green forests. The Lodge is inspired by the lifestyle and rich culture of the local Tharu people and offers a myriad of activities for the adventurous traveller, including elephant safaris , jungle walks, bird watching, village exploration by ox cart, sunset watches, horse riding, tennis, badminton,table tennis and swimming. River safaris are possible for guests staying 2 nights or more.

Traditional local dancing is performed by villagers and staff before dinner.Situated on high ground near the National Park, the Lodge is built in the ethnic architectural style of the indigenous Tharu people and consists of two 'longhouses' constructed with local materials -- timber, elephant grass,mud, cow dung and clay.The twelve spacious and comfortable rooms have attached bathrooms with solar heated water. Each traditionally decorated room is furnished with one queen-sized and one single bed as well as ceiling fans. Nepalese and Western cuisine is prepared from Tiger Mountain Farms' own fresh organic produce, and guests are welcome to visit the farm to see their dinner growing. The Tharu Lodge is one of 3 Tiger Mountain properties in the Royal Chitwan National Park area, and is an interesting 2 hour game trip by jeep, boat and ox cart from our main Tiger Tops Lodge. A popular itinerary combining several days' stay at each of the operations, i.e. Tiger Tops Jungle Lodge, Tiger Tops Tented Camp and Tharu Lodge offers a variety of character, atmosphere and activities where getting there is half the fun! (Transfers from one operation to the next are by jeep, boat, elephant, and ox cart).Itineraries for short visits of 1-2 days are possible, but trips of 3-7 days combining all three properties are recommended.


 

TEMPLE TIGER Jungle Lodges and Wildlife Camps;
Temple Tiger Jungle Lodges and Wildlife Camps one of the finest in Asia, is situated in the heart of Royal Chitwan National Park on the far western side and has the enviable distinction of being the best located property inside the National Park. This is proven by the record sightings of the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger, one horned Rhinoceros, crocodile and Gharial. Our territory of this fantastic reserve appeals to wildlife enthusiasts as well as visiting Ornithologists who consider our area a paradise for bird watching as both resident and migratory birds visit here in abundance.

Temple Tiger is the only Lodge inside the National Park of Chitwan, from where you can witness the natural game of prey and predator, from the hanging platform itself. This viewing deck, constructed above a huge man-made swamp provides a fantastic display of animals visiting the swamp or on the land.

Besides the view from your balcony, we also arrange jungle safaris on elephant back or by land rover. Nature walks accompanied by well-trained naturalists are very popular among nature lovers. Canoeing on the Narayani River provides an opportunity to watch gharial, dolphins and crocodiles from close quarters.

The Temple Tiger Jungle Lodge has tried and succeeded in creating a truly relaxing and welcoming atmosphere without disturbing the surrounding tranquillity of the jungle.

There are 32 individual super deluxe jungle lodges. These wooden lodges or villas as they are called are on stilts and are equipped with all 5 star amenities and have a private balcony over-looking the grassland. The tastefully decorated rooms with Tharu artifacts have wall to wall carpets, a sofa and international size twin/ double bed, The spacious, attached bathrooms with running hot and cold water are a beautiful blend of wood, marble and bamboo (rattan). The thatched roofs of the villas are made from the abundant Siru grass therefore they blend easily into the surroundings. The tented camps are situated in the vicinity of the jungle lodges.

GETTING THERE
Depending on time available and preferences, a number of options are available for the discerning traveler. International arrivals are all via Tribhuban Airport in Kathmandu(1300mtrs.) the capital city and heart of the culture of Nepal. Two hundred kilometres west lies Pokhara (1000mtrs.) at the foot of the great Annapurna mountain range. Between these two and in the lowlands to the south, is Chitwan National Park(200mtrs.)home to Temple Tiger Jungle Lodge.

By Air : The Temple Tiger Jungle Lodge in the Royal Chitwan National Park can be reached either by domestic airlines or the land route. 3-4 domestic airlines fly to Bharatpur which is a 25 minute flight. You will be met at the airport and driven to the Amaltari Ghat by a TTJL representative which will take 1hour 20minutes. On reaching the Ghat on the banks of the Narayani River, your jungle oddessy begins. Upon arrival, the guests will be transferred by riverboats and elephants/landrovers to the Temple Tiger Jungle Lodge.

By Land Route : Roads leading west from Kathmandu, or east from Pokhara meet midway between the two at Mugling. The main road turns south from here following the course of the Narayani through the middle hills to the Terai (lowlands) belt 35 kms south. At Narayanghat, we meet the Mahendra Highway and turn east through Chitwan. After about 50 kms, we drive south on a dirt road for the 15 kms drive to Amaltarighat.

The 190 kms. drive gives a fascinating view of life in rural Nepal, rivers, and villages, rice terraces and forested hillsides. A good option is to drive one way, fly the other.

By Raft : A thrilling activity can be incorporated into the drive About 2 ½ hrs. after leaving Kathmandu Charaundi is reached, from where the rafting begins. After 3 hours white water rafting on the Trishuli river, we arrive at Kurintar. There a packed lunch will be provided. Another 3hr. drive will take you to AmaltariGhat, on the banks of River Narayani. Variation in the rafting itineary can be arranged with trips lasting upto three days, camping enroute. For visitors from Pokhara it would be an overnight stay at a lodge and rafting on the Seti River. Special rafting itineraries ranging from a day to 15 days with all camping facilities can also be arranged. (see our special section on rafting).

All the guides possess knowledge about emergency medical treatment, on the flora & fauna and also about the geology & history of Nepal. River trips vary from one to ten days and from scenic floating to some of the most challenging white water rafting available in the world. All the equipment meet highest standards of comfort and safety including life jacket waterproof bags, ammo boxes & camping gears.
