Regard Tadaz Club of Tajikistan clinched the AFC President’s Cup tournament defeating Dordoi Dynamo Club of Kyrgyzstan 3-0 in the final match played at the Dashrath Stadium in Kathmandu Saturday evening.
With the win, Regar Tadaz bagged the cash prize of US$50,000 and the trophy. Runner-up Dordoi-Dynamo received a cash prize of US$25,000.
Crown Prince Paras gave away the trophy to the winning team. Education Minister Radha Krishna Mainali, President of the AFC, Mohammand Bin Haman, and All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) President Ganesh Thapa were present at the award ceremony.
Eight league champions of Nepal, Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Cambodia, Chinese Taipei and Bhutan had participated in the tournament.
